Here are a few of my favourite things about staying at Raedene Vacation House.
1. Visiting Browns Beach: Growing up in Barbados set a high bar for beach experiences. Browns, one of the world’s best beaches, is only a seven-minute walk from our front door. I recommend you rent a chair and umbrella, stake out a spot, and enjoy the glorious sun with a rum punch in hand.
2. Devouring a Fish Cutter: This fish sandwich, typically deep fried and served on a Kaiser bun, is one of my favourite foods. It’s a signature beach experience you won’t want to miss.
3. Relaxing in the sun: Whether it’s building sandcastles with the kids, going snorkeling, trying out a boogie board or lounging on the beach while catching up, you can’t beat Barbados for rest and relaxation. Did I mention we’re a seven-minute walk from paradise?
4. Experiencing World-Class Meals: I love going out to eat. There are so many new places to try, ranging from high-end dining at The Cliff to less formal, Just Grillin’
5. Exploring via Catamaran: Snorkel with the turtles, see amazing marine wildlife and cruise our beautiful waters through a catamaran cruise. Large and small group excursions are available. Ask us for a recommendation specially tailored to your family’s needs.
6. Connecting with Family: Barbados is my family’s home. Getting together with family and friends is always special, and we’ve hosted guests who are attending family reunions, destination weddings or reconnecting with family in a relaxed setting.

Raedene, the name my grandfather gave the home, was selected to honour his eldest daughter, my aunt Ray. He added the ‘Dene’ to “give it a ring.”
My mother was raised here, along with my 3 aunts and 3 uncles. I visited often Raedene with my parents and brother in my teens and 20s. It’s always been a place for families to connect and share loving memories.
But most importantly, Raedene has always been a special meeting place for everyone to gather.
Raedene Vacation House’s open-concept layout in the kitchen, dining and living areas makes it perfect to use as a home base while vacationing with family or friends. With all the modern comforts at your fingertips, we’re sure you’ll love Raedene House as much as we do.
The house is entirely renovated, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It sleeps 11 people.
We’re pleased to offer:
Raedene Vacation House is close to many popular attractions on the island, making it ideal for in-and-out access between activities. It’s also a 15-minute ride to the airport.

Beyond quick access to some of Barbados’s best beaches, we’ve also worked hard to make the house friendly to families with young children.
